Named for Saint Paul civic leader, banker and philanthropist W. Andrew Boss, our newest stage puts you in the intimate embrace of 200 seats wrapped around this town’s top talent. With this addition to our Historic Hamm Building facility, we return to our intimate, thrust stage roots with the newest generation of theatre makers and theatre goers.
The Ecolab Lobby is one of Saint Paul’s truly great party rooms, with a large white and blue tiled bar, sculpted metallic gold wall and room for live music or post-show cabarets. The adjoining Target rehearsal hall is perfect for play readings, semi-staged workshops and meetings.
Meritage offers Some Distinct Styles of Dining
From our classically timeless dining room, to our buzzy oyster bar - Meritage offers an ambiance regardless of mood. The Terrace offers memorable Summer evenings, a wonderful place to enjoy some Moules Frites and a glass of rose.
We invite you to experience all of the styles of dining at Meritage.
Park Square opened in 1975 in an 80-seat walk-up in the Park Square Court building. With our move to the Historic Hamm Building in 1997, we began our strong relationship with Actors’ Equity Association (the union of professional actors and stage managers), and embraced a leading role as a producer of contemporary plays.
Since then, we’ve grown into one of Minnesota’s top employers of local stage talent – 64% of whom are women and artists of color. Our education program engages one of the nation’s largest teen theatre audiences.
We’re a vigorous company with the ambition and chutzpah to be your theatre of choice. Together with Artistic Director Richard Cook, our team of Artistic Associates – Aditi Kapil, Carson Kreitzer, Ricardo Vázquez and James A. Williams – bring you fresh titles and perspectives. They continually open up their heads as to what a Park Square play can and should be.
